Défilé du Carnaval de Québec

For four years, MATIÈRS organized and designed the Quebec Winter Carnival parade, the biggest event of its kind in the world. From the very first edition, the concept for the event was rethought so that it truly mirrored the imagination of Quebecers, an integral part of their Nordicity, and transformed the city into a wintry, northern wonderland.

New scenes, new floats and new characters were added to the parade each year, gradually turning it into a participatory and immersive narrative fresco. The 2017 edition of the winter carnival parade featured 525 artists and participants, 12 floats and 14 thematic scenes.
